public class CiviApplet
extends javax.swing.JApplet

The CiviApplet consists of three areas, the visualization view, the detail view, and the control panel. The size and the background color of this applet is scalable.

Constructor Detail

CiviApplet

public CiviApplet()
Method Detail

getAppletInfo

public java.lang.String getAppletInfo()
Returns information about this applet. An applet should override this method to return a String containing information about the author, version, and copyright of the applet.

Returns:
a string containing information about the author, version, and copyright of the applet.

init

public void init()

start

public void start()
Called by the browser or applet viewer to inform this applet that it should start its execution. It is called after the init method and each time the applet is revisited in a Web page.

This method loads all paramters and initializes the three areas of the applet. The visualization view uses the ISOM layout by default to draw the graph generated in the method getGraph(). By using the applet parameters all CiviDocuments, CiviKeywords, and CiviEdge objects will be generate in this method.

ISOMLayout, getGraph()

getGraph

public Graph getGraph()
Generates a graph: in this case, generates it from applet parameter. This applet parameters are transfered in objects in the method CiviApplet#start() and stored in some hashtables. This method delivers these hashtable and further informations to the GraphModeler which returns a Graph.

Returns:
An undirected graph
